The evolution of the build process in regards to The 35th St. project will be documented here.
Our current home is a small ranch style home with a full basement. Creating a space that evokes creativity, curiosity, and 'class' are at the heart of the design. All design work and labor is being completed by me and my lovely fiancé, Wyethe Smallish. Our cats and dog cant wait to enjoy their new spaces! We moved in August 2021 and as of August 2022 all of this work has taken place.
This project is currently in development. 3 layers of shingles were removed and replaced with a standing seam metal roof, existing fascia and gutters were replaced/repaired, carpet has been removed and hardwood floors are soon to be sanded, and the bathroom demolition has began.
Featured here are documented process images of the project thus far. The website will continue to be updated along with the progress of the renovation. The landscaping of the property is also undergoing extensive change. Tons of non - native species like buckthorn and grapevine have been removed and replaced with native perennial wildflowers and other prairie flora.
